Can my flatmate i.e. computer on my network, hack into my computer and see what I am doing?
I would like to find out if my flatmate who shares the same network as I can see everything that I search for and do on my laptop from his computer? I have become increasingly concernd by this since he seems to know personal information about me which is unlikely to come from other sources.
It may be worth adding that I do currently use a Kaspersky labs security scanner, and have a windown firewall. Do these make a difference?
If he's really good, he'd get past your security... chances are, he isn't that good. Keep your firewall on, turn off sharing files etc
Not much else you can do if you're sharing the same router connection he'll be able to see your IP and ping you.
